JACKSONVILLE, FLA., March 30, 2023 – After more than a decade, Vizergy is still creating beautiful, innovative websites for long-time client Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, Vermont. Having built their past website in 2014, Vizergy and Trapp knew it was time to come back to the table and craft a new website that allowed guests to feel the beauty and luxury of the property before even stepping foot in Vermont.
Operating year-round, Trapp Family Lodge is a classic, European-style mountain resort, offering the perfect setting for any getaway, from summers surrounded by greenery and hiking to a winter cross-country ski vacation. The lodge was founded in 1950 by the von Trapp family, known for touring the United States as the Trapp Family Singers and as the subjects of The Sound of Music. The property’s unique history and setting meant that Vizergy needed to create a stunning website allowing them to tell their story.
Creative Director Jeremiah Mathews explains Vizergy’s process: “We took their existing site and stripped away any unnecessary fluff to let the Trapp Family Lodge experience shine through. With a simple, high-end UX, we used photos and video to transport visitors to Vermont to get them excited to stay. We simplified the homepage, incorporated small design details that were a nod to the beautiful property, and added more upscale fonts to give the website the look and feel of high-end simplicity.”
However, beautiful design isn’t the only priority for Vizergy, Mathews explained. “We purposefully chose user-driven content that would drive revenue and then nested the rest of the content on interior pages. This adds to the high-end simplicity we were aiming for.”
