The holiday season, an often-difficult time of year for many, is an optimal time to give back to those in need. Vizergy Digital Marketing has once again partnered with Bright Holidays, a public charity based in Jacksonville, FL to help underprivileged students and families during the holidays.
Since discovering the underfunded charity last year, Vizergy has raised donations for Bright Holidays through various fundraising events. With a companywide themed basket auction at last year’s annual holiday party, Vizergy raised thousands of dollars for the charity. In addition to monetary donations, employees dedicated their time and effort to help organize donations of clothing, food, school supplies, and other necessities for each child.
Charitable involvement isn’t just a seasonal focus for Vizergy employees. Strong values and community relations are integral to the Vizergy culture. Vizergy encourages community involvement by rewarding employees with PTO hours for volunteer work.
Holly Montroy, Vizergy’s Human Resources Director says “giving to the community should be an expectation of a successful business. Vizergy is always looking for ways to support Jacksonville’s many great organizations and get involved in meaningful ways. We look to hire like-minded team members that make charitable action a priority in their lives and in the workplace”.
This Halloween, Vizergy partnered with One Blood to host a blood drive at the company’s annual Halloween party. Considering each pint of blood donated can help save as many as three people’s lives, the 43 pints donated by Vizergy employees will surely go a long way.
The Vizergy team contributes hundreds of hours to community causes every year as well, including website development for non-profit agencies, food drives and direct monetary donations to causes our staff is passionate about.
One of Vizergy’s longest charitable relationships began in 2002 with Homes of Life, a Christian ministry in Latin America that was founded to serve the needs of at-risk children in Costa Rica and Guatemala. They provide a safe and nurturing place for these children.
Homes of Life Manager, Matt Gnuse, says “Over the last 16 years, the support we’ve received from Vizergy has been invaluable. Charities like ours don’t make it without the support of others. We’re grateful for Vizergy and the relationship we’ve established with them over the years.”
