This year, Vizergy Digital Marketing partnered with Bright Holidays, a public charity based in Jacksonville, FL, to give underprivileged students and families a better holiday. Helping 1,015 children this holiday season, the organization set a new record in 2019.
With the help of school principals in the community, Bright Holidays identifies students in need. These children are then provided a holiday meal, toy, clothes, and a sleeping bag to every child in the family.
Through various fundraising efforts, the organization – with assistance from individual donors and caring companies, such as Vizergy – provides these local families with a bit of holiday cheer. In 2018, Bright Holidays served 807 Jacksonville children, across 41 local schools.
Vizergy’s CEO Joe Hyman says “Strong values and community relations are an integral part of Vizergy’s corporate culture. Each year, employees contribute hundreds of hours to community service causes and charitable organizations. We all stand on the shoulders of others, I challenge local business, individuals and community leaders to promote social responsibility with-in their realm of influence. It makes our community a better place to live and has a positive impact on people in need.”
Since discovering the underfunded charity last year, Vizergy has raised donations for Bright Holidays through fundraising events as well as dedicated time to help facilitate the distribution of holiday gifts.
“Bright Holidays partnered with 44 local schools this year, many of them being the same schools we help year after year. In collaboration with the school’s personnel, we identify students and their siblings up to age 18. With the help of volunteers and charitable donations, our organization provides shoes, clothing, and age appropriate toys for these children.
The time dedicated by the Vizergy team and their monetary support each year help us to give underprivileged children a brighter holiday. With their help, we were able to give 1,015 children a better holiday – the most of any prior year” says Mike Shreve, President of Bright Holidays.
